The Council fulfils its task of conducting an independent evaluation of the Government's fiscal policy primarily through the publication of the report Swedish Fiscal Policy, which is presented to the Government annually. The report is used by the Riksdag (the Parliament) as a basis for its evaluation of the Government's policy.
A summary in English is published when the report is presented in May. The full translation of the report is published during the fall the same year. The reports translated to English are listed below. For a complete list, go to the Swedish web page.
The 2013 report was presented to the Minister for Finance, Anders Borg, on the 15th of May.
